On November 1, 1946, a WWII plane flying from Naples to London crashed due to bad weather on the Mont Blanc glacier in Italy. The crew is miraculously saved. The survivors struggle for survival in the tremendous cold, until hunger pushes them to try to seek help by moving through the mountains on foot.
